High-quality material paired with a functional, elegant design 

Professionals and gourmets alike appreciate a good cutting board. Not only does it look good, but it sits firmly on the countertop and is hard enough to allow rock-chopping at high speed. At the same time, it's gentle on knife blades, reducing wear of cutting edge, so that the sharpness can be retained for a long time. All of these requirements have been incorporated into our GOURMET Acacia cutting board. The result is a cutting board that is not only eye-catching in every kitchen, but also lives up to the highest functional standards.

SELF-HEALING

When cutting on end-grain wood, one will cut into the fibres and push them aside

The fibres will spring back after the cut, so that deeper cuts in the board will magically disappear after a while.

GENTLE ON KNIFE BLADES

Since a cut on an end-grain board goes into the fibre and doesn't sever it, the cutting edge is not stressed and the knife runs smoothly on the board with an incredibly pleasant cutting feeling.

The material "Acacia auriculiformis" adds to this. It's sufficiently hard to assure that sharp blades don't get stuck in the wood, but is still gentle on the edge.

HYGIENIC

An end-grain board is not only hygienic due to the anti-bacterial properties of the wood. The self-healing ability of the wood prevents deep furrows where germs could accumulate.

EASY TO HANDLE

The board has an ideal size and weight. With about 43 oz (1.2 kg), it sits firmly on the countertop, but is still easy to handle and can be carried with one hand. The size of 14 x 10" (35 x 25 cm) offers plenty of space for larger amounts of food, but still fits nicely in a kitchen shelf.

JUICE GROOVE

When cutting food containing liquids, the juice groove safely catches the liquid, keeping the countertop clean.

The practical corner compartment can store excess juice that can be poured off via the spout. In addition, it can also be used to collect chopped food such as herbs or garlic.

REVERSIBLE

Since a juice groove reduces the usable area and can also be a hindrance, e.g. when scraping off food into a container, our board is reversible and can be used on both sides. In addition to the side with the juice groove, it has a smooth side that is ideal for cutting herbs and vegetables.
